Privacy Policy

This privacy policy tells you what to expect when Sewio collects personal information about you when you visit sewio.net or its subdomains, if you use Sewio RTLS or participate in the Sewio Partner Program.

Sewio is committed to protecting your personal information. Whenever you provide such information, we will only use your information in line with all applicable data protection laws, including the General Data Protection Regulation (“GDPR”). Your information will be kept in a secure environment, and access to it will be restricted according to the ‘need to know’ principle.

Sewio may revise and update this privacy policy in case of need. The current version of the privacy policy will be available on the website www.sewio.net and in the registered office of Sewio.

In case a significant change in the way in which personal data are handled is made, Sewio will inform about it on the website www.sewio.net.

Basic Information Regarding Personal Data Processing

Data protection officer: Sewio has not appointed a data protection officer, because Sewio is not an obligated person within the meaning of Art. 37 of the GDPR.

Transfer of personal data to a third country or international organization: Sewio does not transfer, without your consent, personal data to third countries nor to international organisations within the meaning of Art. 44 and following of the GDPR. The only exception is processors based in the United States of America specified below, who have committed themselves to comply with the conditions of adequate protection set out in the Commission Impelementing Decision.(EU) 2021/914 of 4 June 2021 on standard contractual clauses for the transfer of personal data to third countries pursuant to Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council.

Automated individual decision-making: Sewio does not conduct automated individual decision-making or profiling within the meaning of Art. 22 of the GDPR.

Information on the nature of the provision of data: If personal data is processed for the purpose of the fulfilment of an agreement or the fulfilment of legal obligations, the provision of data is a statutory requirement. If personal data is being processed on the basis of the consent of the data subject, the provision of data is a contractual requirement.

Supervisory authority: The supervisory authority is an independent public authority entitled to personal data protection in the state. Sewio.net or Its Subdomains

What data will be collected about you?

When you visit sewio.net or its subdomains, Sewio may collect information about how you use the website and the device(s) that you use to access the website. This includes typically the following information about you:

  • the Internet domain, registered company (if applicable), GeoIP information, and Internet address of the computer you are using;
  • identification of the page or service you are requesting;
  • the type of browser and operating system you are using;
  • date and time of access;
  • the Internet address of the website from which you arrived at our website;
  • cookies information.

Furthermore, when you actively submit information about you to Sewio using sewio.net or its subdomains, typically when you fill in a contact form, or when you create or use your account on sewio.net or its subdomains, Sewio will collect also the submitted information. The information will consist typically of your contact details and related personal data such as name, e-mail address, company, phone number, password, IP address, and office address.

How will Sewio use the data it collects about you and for what purposes?

Sewio will use your personal data for the following purposes:

  • Use of the site
    • In order to work properly, sewio.net and its subdomains need to use cookies. A cookie is a small text file that a website saves on your computer or mobile device when you visit the site, respond to surveys, or participate in polls. It enables the website to remember your actions and preferences (such as login, language, font size, and other display preferences) over a period of time, so you don’t have to keep re-entering them whenever you come back to the website or browse from one page to another.
  • Queries, complaints, feedback
    • If you submit your queries, complaints, feedback, etc. via sewio.net or its subdomains, Sewio will use the provided information to respond to the submitted queries, complaints, or feedback.
    • Processing of your data for this purpose is necessary for the purposes of the legitimate interest pursued by Sewio (within the meaning of sec. 6(1)(f) of the GDPR) to respond to the submitted queries, complaints, or feedback and to improve its products and services hereby. For this purpose, the data will be processed for the period necessary to deliver the response, maximally for a period of four years. You have no legal obligation to provide the data, nevertheless, in that case, Sewio will not be able to respond.
  • Registration
    • If you create your account on sewio.net or its subdomains, Sewio will use the information you provided during the creation or use of the account in order to ensure the account is created and works and to provide you with services corresponding to the account.
    • Processing of your data for this purpose is necessary to perform the respective contractual obligations (and to take steps prior to entering into respective contractual obligations at your request) within the meaning of sec. 6(1)(b) of the GDPR. For this purpose, the data will be processed maximally for a period of four years after your account is closed. You have no legal obligation to provide the data, nevertheless, in that case, you will not be able to create your account.
  • Ordering of Sewio’s products or services
    • If you use sewio.net or its subdomains to order any of Sewio’s products or services, Sewio will use the information you submit in the respective order form for the purpose of taking steps prior to entering into a respective contract.
    • Processing of your data for this purpose is necessary to take steps prior to entering into a respective contract at your request within the meaning of sec. 6(1)(b) of the GDPR. For this purpose, the data will be processed during the performance of the contract, and maximally for a period of four years after its termination. When it becomes obvious that the contract will not be concluded, the data will be processed maximally for a period of four years. You have no legal obligation to provide the data, nevertheless, in that case, you will not be able to order any of Sewio’s products or services.
  • Contact and lead management
    • Sewio monitors your activities on sewio.net and its subdomains, collects data about your activities on sewio.net and its subdomains, and uses collected data for profiling and lead scoring. Sewio may also match the collected data with other data that Sewio collects about you if you used Sewio’s products and services before or actively submit information about you to Sewio using sewio.net or its subdomains, typically when you fill in a contact form. This will allow Sewio to improve the websites and services and to gather statistics about its usage. Sewio will also be able to show you more relevant and personalized content and prepare for you services, information, or offers more tailored to your needs.
    • Processing of your data, which Sewio collects about your activities on sewio.net and its subdomains, is based on the cookie settings in your browser. You may change your preferences anytime simply by changing your browser settings.
    • Processing of your data, which Sewio collects when you fill in a contact form, is based on your consent within the meaning of sec. 6(1)(a) of the GDPR. Your data will be used only for the duration of your consent. You may change your preferences anytime simply by letting us know at marketing@sewio.net

Processing of Sewio employees’ personal data is governed by an internal regulation.

Recipients of Personal Data

Sewio does not transfer personal data without your consent to any other controllers.

Processing of personal data may be conducted for Sewio by processors exclusively on the basis of a personal data processing agreement, i.e. with guarantees of the organizational and technical security of such data with a definition of the purpose of processing, whereby processors cannot use the data for other purposes.

Sewio may disclose personal data processed to fulfill obligations set out in special laws to government authorities and other entities as specified by those laws.

Technical security of data

For the purpose of securing personal data against unauthorized or accidental disclosure, Sewio applies reasonable and appropriate technical and organizational measures that are continuously updated. Technical measures include the application of technologies preventing unauthorized access by third parties to personal data.  Organizational measures are a set of rules of behavior for Sewio‘s employees and are a part of Sewio’s internal rules. These rules are considered to be confidential on grounds of security.

If Sewio’s servers are located in a data center operated by a third party, Sewio takes care to ensure that the technical and organizational measures are implemented by the third party. Sewio proclaims that all data is located only on servers within the European Union, in countries ensuring personal data protection in a manner equivalent to the protection ensured by the legal regulations of the Czech Republic or with processors in third countries who have committed to protecting the personal data according to EU standards and regulations.

Your Rights Regarding Personal Data Protection

You have a number of rights regarding the protection of personal data. If you would like to exercise any of these rights, please contact us via email: info@sewio.net. The exercise of these rights is subject to certain exceptions and therefore may not be applicable in all situations.

As a data subject, you have:

  • Right of access to personal data (Article 15 GDPR): You have the right to obtain confirmation from us as to whether or not your personal data is being processed. If your personal data is processed by us, you have the right to access these personal data and the information referred to in Article 15 GDPR. You also have the right to obtain a copy of the personal data processed. We may charge you a reasonable fee for further copies, taking into account the administrative costs.
  • Right to rectification of personal data (Article 16 GDPR): You have the right to have us correct your inaccurate personal data or complete incomplete personal data without undue delay.
  • Right to deletion of personal data (Article 17 GDPR): You have the right to have your personal data deleted without undue delay in the cases set out in Article 17 GDPR. The right to deletion does not apply if the processing is necessary for compliance with legal obligations, for the establishment, exercise or defence of legal claims and in other cases provided for in the GDPR.
  • Right to restriction of processing (Article 18 GDPR): You have the right to have us restrict processing in any of the following cases: (a) you contest the accuracy of the personal data, for the time necessary for us to verify the accuracy of the personal data; (b) the processing is unlawful and you object to the deletion of the personal data and request instead the restriction of their use; (c) we no longer need the personal data for the purposes of the processing but you require it for the establishment, exercise or defence of legal claims; (d) you object to the processing; until it is verified that our legitimate grounds outweigh your legitimate interests.
  • Right to information regarding rectification or deletion of personal data or restriction of processing (Article 19 GDPR): We are obliged to notify individual recipients to whom personal data have been disclosed of any rectification or deletion of personal data or restriction of processing, except where this proves impossible or requires disproportionate effort. If you request it, we will inform you of these recipients.
  • Right to data portability (Article 20 GDPR): If technically feasible, you have the right to obtain your personal data and transfer them to another controller.
  • Right not to be subject to automated individual decision-making, including profiling (Article 22 GDPR): We do not carry out automated individual decision-making or profiling within the meaning of Article 22 GDPR when processing personal data.
  • Right to be informed in the event of a personal data breach (Article 33 GDPR): If a particular personal data breach is likely to result in a high risk to your rights and freedoms, we will notify you of the breach without undue delay.
  • Right to lodge a complaint with the supervisory authority: If you believe that we are not processing your personal data in a lawful manner, you have the right to lodge a complaint with the supervisory authority whose contact details are listed above. We would be glad if you contact us first. We will do everything in our power to rectify the defective situation and process your personal data in a lawful manner.
  • Right to object to processing (Article 21 par.1 GDPR): You have the right to object at any time to the processing of your personal data that we process on the grounds of legitimate interest. In this case, we will no longer process the personal data unless we can demonstrate compelling legitimate grounds for the processing that override your interests or rights and freedoms or for the establishment, exercise, or defense of legal claims.
  • Right to withdraw consent to the processing of personal data: If we process any of your personal data on the basis of consent, you have the right to withdraw your consent to the processing of your personal data at any time in writing by sending a letter of disagreement to the contact email address. Withdrawal of consent does not affect the processing of personal data in cases where consent is not required.

Sending newsletters and commercial communications

When sending commercial communications, we comply with Act No. 480/2004 Coll., on certain information society services, as amended. You can cancel the sending of commercial communications by using the unsubscribe link in each e-mail sent.

We send newsletters based on our legitimate interest to our customers and suppliers. We also send newsletters to potential customers, for example, when you give us your business card, which we consider as consent. Additionally, we send newsletters to individuals who request them on our website at https://www.sewio.net/company/newsletter/.

  • Right to object to the processing of personal data for direct marketing purposes (Article 21 par.2 GDPR): If we process your personal data for direct marketing purposes, you have the right to object to such processing at any time. In this case, we will no longer process your personal data.
