As the majority of our partners are based in the U.S., it comes as no surprise that we have decided to secure an even stronger presence there by opening a U.S. office. And in a time where many industries have seen UWB-based real-time location systems (RTLS) as a lifeline to help alleviate the impact of the current pandemic by digitally transforming their businesses, bringing that help a step closer to the U.S. market can only prove to be of greater benefit to all.

We’re Alabama Bound!

We chose the location of our U.S. office, in Huntsville, Alabama, based on its key strategic position to help serve the entire country. Our US branch is just a short hop away from the busiest airport in the U.S., Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta. The 150 domestic destinations the airport flies to and from give us unrivaled access to help tackle the rapid growth in demand for UWB-based indoor-tracking technology we have witnessed in North America. The new office is the third global office and joins our German and Czech sites, in Stuttgart and Brno, respectively.

VP of Channel Partners

We are also pleased to welcome Eric Richards, who joins Sewio as V.P. of Channel Partners. Eric brings his more than 13 years of experience in growing business and strategic partnerships in the RTLS/RFID industry. His illustrious career includes his roles as V.P. Strategic Partnership with Redpoint Positioning Corp and Director of R&D at Q-Track Corp. His enthusiasm for all things UWB means he is the ideal person to help us grow our position in the U.S. market and lead and define the next chapter in UWB-based RTLS technology.

UWB – the Next Frontier

The North American market currently represents the source of over a third of our revenue. This is largely due to the robust network of partners we have there. These partners have been relentlessly delivering outstanding projects that stand as a benchmark for how to drive digital transformation projects across many sectors. The relationships we enjoy with our partners have meant that we are able to boast a rich customer-partner feedback loop into our product to ensure that we are driving our development strategy based on current and future market needs. Having this kind of litmus test for our roadmap has led to us being the pioneers in what we do.

Through our existing partners, we already have an impressive track record using real-time location systems (RTLS) for indoor location tracking mainly for industrial digitalization. With our U.S. expansion through our newly-opened Alabama office, we look forward to taking this technology into new business sectors and helping ensure that our current and future partners deliver only projects based on optimized processes, workforce safety, material savings, short-time-to-value and measurable ROI, empowering them to help their clients to future-proof their businesses and compete successfully on a global level.
