3D Real-time Localization to Increase Productivity

Bora

Our friends at Digimark made a great job digitizing all movement at Bora Italy SPA, a leader in the molding of metal components. Bora is now not only tracking all forklifts and the goods that are being manipulated with them, but the system sends instructions to the drivers where to pick up and where to unload the material, suggesting the best location to increase warehouse utilization.

As 80% of goods are in the stacks, the systems support 3D localization to control not only the vertical but also horizontal position of pallets within the warehouse.

How to Keep Cable Costs Down When Deploying Ultra-wideband RTLS

Utilizing PoE Passthrough Devices

The success of every digitization process increases or falls with the ROI and payback period. The most significant contributor to RTLS infrastructure is the cost of cabling, therefore, reducing the amount of cabling helps projects achieve a highly positive ROI and short payback period. In his latest blog post, our CTO, Lubomir Mraz, summarizes how to utilize PoE passthrough devices to keep cable costs down and digitization projects on budget.

Results and Insights from the Digital Hero Contest

Contestants by Countries

We have been running our “Become a Digital Hero Contest” to evangelize UWB technology and help to create three new digital heroes by giving them our Sewio RTLS UWB kit for free.

To take part in the contest, contestants had to submit their ideas about how they would leverage precise indoor tracking. We received 327 submissions with many interesting use cases! What were those use cases? And which did we hear most often? Read on to gain insights into the “what, why and how “of the plans our contestants had for using RTLS!

Tag Piccolino Will Be Replaced With Leonardo Asset Tag

Tag Piccolino Will Be Replaced With Leonardo Asset Tag

We have taken the decision to discontinue some of our older products to make room in our line for more advanced technology that better fits the use cases of our customers. The Tag Piccolino will be discontinued as of January 1, 2021 and will be fully replaced with the Leonardo Asset Tag.

Compared to Tag Piccolino, the Leonardo Asset has a battery with a higher capacity and is equipped with BLE for smooth firmware updates and with NFC for easy configuration and commissioning. The new versions of RTLS Studio will continue to support Tag Piccolino and all previously purchased services. Warranties are also still valid.

Sewio Pricelist Now in USD as Well as EUR

As we opened an office in the US back in July this year to be closer to our North American partners, adding the USD currency to our pricelist was the next logical step for the US market. The USD pricing is based on the existing EUR pricelist.
